More about major projects
Most projects being assessed under YESAA are routinely assessed by one of YESAB’s six Designated Offices, but major projects are assessed at YESAB’s Executive Committee or Panel level. When a project is assessed at Executive Committee or Panel level, and if the Yukon government is a decision body for that project, the Development Assessment Branch then acts as the decision body on behalf of the Yukon government. The Development Assessment Branch therefore has the responsibility of deciding whether to accept, reject or vary YESAB’s assessment recommendation.
