2014 Western Premiers' Conference
Premiers and officials from the seven western provinces and territories took part in the Western Premiers' Conference held in Iqaluit on July 9 and 10, 2014. They discussed a number of priorities, including labour market development, market access and internal trade, and acknowledged the vital role that rural and remote communities play in Canada's prosperity. 2013 Western Premiers' Conference
Premiers from the four western provinces and the three territories met in Winnipeg in June 2013. They discussed labour market shortages and skills training, strategic infrastructure investments, immigration, energy, and international trade and investment. Premiers also discussed other important issues that affect the lives of Canadian families, such as managing natural disasters, improving water quality, and addressing the growing problem of bullying and cyber-bullying.
