Northern Premiers have been meeting annually since 2000.
The most recent meeting was held in Iqaluit, Nunavut in September 2009.

In 2003 the three premiers signed The Northern Cooperation Accord 
.
In 2007 the three Premiers released A Northern Vision: A Stronger North and a Better Canada at the Northern Premier's Forum in Whitehorse.
Their vision outlines how the three territorial governments will build a more prosperous, sustainable and secure North. It is framed under the broad themes of sovereignty, circumpolar relations and climate change.
