Final Agreements with Yukon First Nations are legally-binding, constitutionally-protected documents.
Self Government Agreements are not treaties; they are companion documents to Final Agreements. A Self Government Agreement ensures that a First Nation has a constitution which sets out its governmental structure.
The traditional territories of some Yukon First Nations cross over the border of British Columbia and the Northwest Territories.
