Youth Leadership

Learn what it means to be a leader!

Youth Leadership Training can teach youth how to be a leader in their community.

Each summer, up to 50 youth from around Yukon travel to the Whitehorse area for Youth Leadership Training.

Some of the things workshops teach youth are how to plan and offer programs, how to work as a team, effective communication skills and risk management.

Youth Leadership Training can give youth new ideas for activities and help them learn from other rural communities.

Contact the Youth Directorate to find out more.

Youth leaders from across Yukon met in early July for a three-day leadership training camp hosted by the Youth Directorate. This year's camp was facilitated by Stephen Leafloor (Buddha) and Marcel Da Costa (Frost) of Blue Print For Life, a program that integrates leadership training and social work with hiphop.
